Deported Five Times: Illegal Immigrant Ends Young Boy’s Life in Hit-and-Run

A 10-year-old boy’s life was tragically cut short when he was killed by an illegal immigrant from Mexico in a hit-and-run car crash. Rogelio Ortiz-Olivas, a 50-year-old who had been deported from the United States five times, was arrested and charged with drunk driving and causing the fatal accident in Midland, Texas.

As the story goes, young Alex “A.J.” Wise, Jr. was walking home from school when Ortiz-Olivas, behind the wheel of a truck, struck him and then heartlessly fled the scene, leaving the boy in critical condition. Despite being airlifted to a hospital, A.J. succumbed to his injuries the following day, devastating his family and the community.

Ortiz-Olivas, who had gone by the name “Juan Ortiz Perez,” was apprehended after a vigilant officer noticed his damaged car hood, which bore an eerie impression of a skull, during a routine traffic stop. He has been charged with a third-degree felony of “hit and run, accident causing death” and is being held on a $100,000 bond. A GoFundMe post described Alex Wise, Jr. as “the sweetest, coolest, funniest little boy you ever would meet.”

This heartbreaking incident serves as a stark reminder of the dangers posed by illegal immigrants who repeatedly flout U.S. immigration laws and commit heinous crimes upon illegally reentering the country. Sadly, this is not an isolated case, as Townhall has reported similar instances where deported illegal immigrants have returned to the U.S. and committed further criminal acts, including rape and deadly car crashes.

The tragic loss of A.J. Wise, Jr. at the hands of a serial deportee reaffirms the urgent need for staunch border security and immigration enforcement to protect American lives. President Biden’s lax border policies only serve to embolden and enable these flagrant violations of the law, putting innocent lives at risk and terrorizing our cities. This senseless tragedy should serve as a wake-up call to prioritize the safety and security of our citizens over political posturing and open-border ideologies.
