In a surprising turn of events, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis finished in a strong second place behind former President Donald Trump in the Iowa caucuses. Despite recent polls showing DeSantis slipping in support, he managed to secure over 20 percent of the caucus vote, with his opponent Nikki Haley trailing behind at around 19 percent. It was a hard-fought battle for DeSantis, who faced an onslaught of attacks and spent nearly fifty million dollars defending his campaign. But he didn’t let it faze him, and in his trademark confident style, he declared, “They threw everything but the kitchen sink at us, but we stayed strong!”
It’s no surprise that the media was against DeSantis from the start. They love to write his political obituary before the race has even begun. But DeSantis proved them wrong once again, defying their expectations and showing that he has what it takes to compete on the national stage. The biased reporting by certain news outlets declaring Trump the winner before all the votes were counted only adds to the long list of media interference in our elections. It’s clear that they’re in the tank for Trump, and this incident is just the latest example of their outrageous behavior.
