In a hilarious display of political acrobatics, a Democratic strategist on Fox Business managed to dodge a simple question about whether President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris are a “dream team.” It’s no surprise that the strategist, David Carlucci, couldn’t give a straight answer because the reality is far from dreamy.
Biden, in a rare moment of self-awareness, posted a photo of himself, Harris, and their spouses, declaring them the “dream team” of America. But when Fox Business host Maria Bartiromo asked Carlucci if he truly believed that Biden and Harris were a dream team, he squirmed and dodged like a politician in hot water.
Instead of providing a simple yes or no, Carlucci stumbled over his words and said that while they may not be the most exciting option, they are the “best” option we have. How inspiring! It’s clear that Carlucci was searching for something positive to say about this lackluster duo, but even he couldn’t muster up much enthusiasm.
And who can blame him? Biden’s approval rating has plummeted, hitting an all-time low of 34% in a recent poll. People are waking up to the fact that Biden is not the strong leader he claimed to be. In fact, nearly 75% of voters think he’s “too old to run for president.” Ouch!
But it’s not just Biden who’s struggling. Harris is also sinking in popularity. In a recent NBC News poll, she earned the lowest vice-presidential favorability rating in history. Nearly 50% of Americans have a negative perception of her, and 39% even have a “very negative view.” That’s not exactly the kind of numbers you would expect from a “dream team.”
Meanwhile, former President Donald Trump is still leading the pack in a hypothetical matchup for 2024. A recent survey showed that he’s ahead of Biden in all six battleground states. It’s clear that the American people are longing for strong, conservative leadership again.
So, sorry Carlucci, but your feeble attempt to defend Biden and Harris as a “dream team” just doesn’t hold up. The reality is that they are failing to inspire the American people and deliver on their promises. It’s time for a change, and that change starts with leaders who actually put America first.
