Foxx Leads Charge Against Campus Antisemitism Outbreak

The House Committee on Education & the Workforce just dropped a bombshell that’s got conservatives everywhere shaking their heads in disbelief. The committee, led by the fearless Chairwoman Virginia Foxx (R-NC), announced Monday that it is broadening its investigation into the disgusting rise of antisemitism at some of our nation’s most prestigious universities. It’s a shame that in this day and age, our institutions of higher learning have become breeding grounds for hate and violence against Jewish students.

The initial targets of the committee’s investigation were Harvard University, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and the University of Pennsylvania. These schools came under fire after their spineless presidents refused to condemn calls for genocide against the Jewish people. Can you believe that? When given the chance to stand up for what’s right, these so-called leaders cowered and refused to take a stand against hate.

But now, the Committee is turning up the heat and setting its sights on Columbia University and the affiliated Barnard College. These institutions are no strangers to antisemitism, with a history of creating a hostile and discriminatory environment for Jewish students. The Committee’s Chairwoman, Virginia Foxx, didn’t hold back in calling out the countless incidents of assaults, harassment, and vandalism that have plagued Columbia University, especially since Hamas’ despicable attack on Israel.

Let’s talk specifics. The letter from Chairwoman Foxx outlined just how dire the situation is at Columbia. We’re talking about a Jewish student being beaten with a stick by a former Columbia undergraduate, chanting and intimidation at an anti-Israel protest, the refusal to recognize a student organization fighting against antisemitism, and even a swastika found drawn on a bathroom wall. It’s like history is repeating itself, and it’s sickening.

And if all that wasn’t bad enough, Columbia University made the outrageous decision to suspend Students for Justice in Palestine and Jewish Voice for Peace for violating their policies, only to turn a blind eye and let them continue spreading their hate unchecked. It’s a complete failure of leadership, and it’s putting Jewish students at risk.

But fear not, the Committee isn’t just sitting back and watching this unfold. They’re demanding answers, they want documents, they want information, and they want it all by February 26th. Chairwoman Foxx and her team are on a mission to hold these universities accountable and to make sure that Jewish students can go to college without fear of discrimination and violence.

It’s time for these universities to wake up and take a stand against antisemitism. If they won’t do it on their own, then the House Committee on Education & the Workforce is more than happy to give them a little nudge in the right direction.
