In the aftermath of two deadly shootings in Lewiston, Maine, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich has called for more relaxed gun laws to prevent mass shootings. During an interview with Fox News host Sean Hannity, Gingrich emphasized the need for Americans to have the ability to protect themselves and others in these situations. Gingrich extended this sentiment to the recent Israeli civilian massacre by Hamas terrorists on October 7th. He emphasized the importance of citizens having the means to protect themselves and stressed that law enforcement officers are rarely present at the scene to stop the attack.
According to Gingrich, it is crucial to develop a new strategy to confront these dangerous individuals as early as possible in order to minimize the loss of life. He noted that these attackers are willing to kill others without any sense of decency.
