Google Fires 28 Over Protests Against Israel Contract

Google recently fired more than two dozen employees who participated in sit-in protests against the company’s $1.2 billion contract with Israel. The protests took place in various Google offices in Seattle, New York, and California. The protesters carried signs and demanded an end to the contract, stating “No more genocide for profit.” Some protesters even occupied CEO Thomas Kurian’s office, leading to the arrest of nine employees.
