House Republicans are actively working to prevent President Joe Biden from facilitating the relocation of Palestinians to the United States in American neighborhoods. Representatives Tom Tiffany (R-WI) and Andy Ogles (R-TN) are introducing a legislation named the "Guaranteeing Aggressors Zero Admission Act," commonly referred to as the GAZA Act, which they exclusively disclosed to Breitbart News. The primary objective of this bill is to block the Biden administration from granting visas to individuals holding Palestinian Authority passports. This move is motivated by concerns surrounding potential security threats and doubts about the authenticity of identity documents issued by Palestinian authorities.
Representative Tiffany has stressed the imperative of prioritizing national security by closing the door to potential malevolent individuals attempting to enter the country. His statement follows a recent disturbing attack perpetrated by Iranian-backed Hamas terrorists against innocent Israeli civilians. He argues that it would be unwise for the United States to rely on identity documents issued by the radical authorities in charge of the Palestinian territories.
Additionally, the GAZA Act would prohibit the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) from channeling Palestinians into the United States through its parole system. Representative Ogles has underscored the significance of safeguarding the nation, particularly during a time when terrorism is on the rise and even promoted by certain groups. This legislation addresses concerns akin to those arising from the recent resettlement of nearly 100,000 Afghans in American communities, a substantial number of whom were found to have ties to terrorism.
The actions taken by House Republicans reflect their belief that national security should be a foremost consideration when making decisions regarding immigration and refugee resettlement. Bringing in Palestinians without rigorous screening and assurance that they pose no threat could potentially jeopardize the safety of American communities.
