The fact that McCarthy has released the footage to well respected and investigative journalists shows that the GOP is committed to getting to the bottom of what happened on January 6th. Let’s not forget that House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) expressed his intention to release all surveillance footage from the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021, to the public back in March. He first released the footage to none other than Tucker Carlson, emphasizing the importance of transparency and allowing the public to form their own opinions.
