Heckler and Koch, a gun manufacturer, has made headlines for taking a no-nonsense approach on their social media accounts. Their latest move? Dismissing their social media manager after he defended Miller Lite’s “woke” rebranding campaign. Apparently, the company was livid after discovering that one of their employees was advocating for a feminist rebranding campaign that did away with bikinis in favor of marketing which centered around respecting women.

For a company that specializes in firearms, it’s no surprise that they’re acutely aware of their key customer base. Heckler and Koch has made the smart decision to stick with their tried-and-true marketing strategy and not pander to the latest “woke” trends. This is in sharp contrast to brands like Bud Light, Miller Lite, Target, Ford, and Calvin Klein, who have all jumped on the feminist bandwagon with disastrous results.

The offending tweet from Heckler and Koch’s social media manager has since been removed. The company knows that they sell guns, not beer, and that they shouldn’t be dabbling in identity politics that could alienate their core conservative base.
As a conservative writer, I wholeheartedly agree that using bunnies and bikinis to sell products is trash marketing. I commend Heckler and Koch for taking a stand against the feminist rebranding push and for staying true to their loyal customer base. If more corporations followed their lead, we might not be seeing a rise in left-wing ideologies that seek to undermine traditional values.
