Gutfield Slams Fox over Dreadful Univision Debate Collaboration

In a recent episode of The Five, Fox News anchor Greg Gutfeld didn’t hold back when expressing his thoughts on the network’s partnership with Univision for the second Republican primary debate. Gutfeld compared the collaboration to the disastrous partnership between Bud Light and Dylan Mulvaney. For those who don’t remember, Bud Light made the questionable decision to feature Mulvaney, a biological man who identifies as a woman, in an ad campaign that included Mulvaney’s face on one of their beer cans. Yikes!

Gutfeld didn’t stop there. He also had some choice words for Univision host Ilia Calderon, who was one of the debate moderators. Gutfeld criticized Calderon for unloading a slew of liberal cliches without any pushback. He even suggested that her questions seemed like they were prepared by the DNC to manipulate the candidates and the audience. Ouch! Gutfeld didn’t hold back and didn’t mince his words.

Now, let’s talk about the candidates themselves. The second GOP debate featured an interesting mix of individuals vying for the Republican presidential nomination. We had entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy, former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley, former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, former Vice President Mike Pence, Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC), Gov. Doug Burgum (R-ND), and Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL), just to name a few. With a total of 13 candidates currently in the race, it’s shaping up to be quite the competition.

However, one notable absence from the debate was former President Donald Trump. Despite meeting the Republican National Committee’s polling and donation standards, Trump refused to sign a loyalty pledge promising not to run as a third-party candidate if he doesn’t secure the nomination. It seems like Trump is always full of surprises. And let’s not forget about former Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson, who didn’t make the cut for the second debate after appearing in the first one. Such a shame!

Overall, it’s clear that Gutfeld had some strong opinions about the debate and the partnership between Fox News and Univision. It will be interesting to see how future debates pan out and if any more unexpected contenders emerge in the race for the Republican nomination. Stay tuned!
