Hasan Piker’s Mockery of Charlie Kirk’s Assassination Crosses a Line

The sight of Hasan Piker leading a cheering crowd in a singalong that mocked the assassination of Charlie Kirk was a gut-punch to every American who still believes in decency and the rule of law. Video from his live Fear& tour shows him crooning the AI-generated “We Are Charlie Kirk” meme song while the audience whooped — a display that is as tasteless as it is dangerous.

Charlie Kirk was taken from this country on September 10, 2025, while speaking to students at Utah Valley University, and the man accused of that killing has been charged with aggravated murder as prosecutors prepare to seek the harshest penalties available. The brutality of that crime and the ongoing legal process should have silenced ghoulish mockery; instead, we are seeing a morally bankrupt celebration from parts of the left.

This wasn’t an offhand joke — the “We Are Charlie Kirk” track is an AI-generated mock-epic released shortly after the assassination and it has become a meme used to taunt conservatives online. Piker didn’t merely tolerate it; he put it onstage, basking in the crowd’s approval and even posting afterward with what amounted to a boast about “carrying the flame.” Such performative cruelty speaks to a deeper cultural rot in influential corners of the left.

Turning Point USA and conservatives nationwide were right to call out this behavior as vile and dangerous, and the moral clarity here is not complicated: mocking the murder of a political opponent is obscene, not satire. Piker’s defenders will try to flip the script and accuse conservatives of hypocrisy, but the simple fact remains that celebrating or trivializing murder crosses a line that decent people of all parties should refuse to tolerate.

This episode also exposes the cowardice of a Democratic coalition that elevates and courts figures like Piker while pretending outrage is somehow partisan when conservatives point out the obvious. Prominent Democrats who have accepted his support suddenly twitch but rarely follow through with meaningful disavowals — proving once again that political expediency often outranks principle on the left.

Meanwhile, investigators continue to build their case into the killing itself, including surveillance evidence and reports of a prepared sniper position on a nearby rooftop — reminders that this was a premeditated act with chilling implications for public safety and political dialogue. The seriousness of the crime makes the mockery all the more intolerable, and it should harden the resolve of every law-and-order American to demand accountability.

Patriots and hardworking Americans don’t cower from tough conversations or disagreeable voices, but we also don’t revel in murder. If the media and political class won’t hold the radical fringe to account, then conservative citizens and leaders must — by calling out moral bankruptcy, by defending victims’ memories, and by insisting that public life remain anchored to decency and responsibility.
