According to Deadline, a number of the most prominent broadcast networks chose to air repeats of previously aired programmes rather than transmit President Joe Biden’s statement on Thursday evening, in which he referred to “MAGA Republicans” as a group that poses a danger to democracy.
During his speech in Philadelphia, which centred primarily on the topic of the current president’s predecessor, Donald Trump, Joe Biden referred to broad swaths of Republican voters as “extremists” and accused them of “fanning the flames of political violence.” According to Deadline, ABC, CBS, and NBC decided to air different programmes instead of Biden’s speech, while Fox aired “Tucker Carlson Tonight” instead of the speech, while MSNBC and CNN broadcast it.

“There’s no question that the Republican Party today is dominated, driven, intimidated by Donald Trump and the MAGA Republicans. And that is a threat to this country,” Biden said. “ President Joe Biden stated. “MAGA Republicans have made their choice. They embrace anger. They thrive on chaos. They live not in the light of truth, but in the shadow of lies. Together, we can choose a different path.”
According to Deadline, NBC aired an old episode of “Law & Order,” CBS broadcast an old episode of “Young Sheldon,” and ABC broadcast “Press Your Luck.”
