The IRS is once again caught dragging its feet about holding Hunter Biden accountable for his tax irregularities, as reported by veteran agent Gary Shapley in his interview with CBS News. Shapley disclosed that the Department of Justice (DOJ) has been unethically ordering “deviations from the normal process,” preventing him and his team of extensively studying and investigating the case. It’s been over three years, and they have yet to see any progress.

This investigation of Hunter Biden’s ill-made tax claims has been in the works for years, but now, the matter has been placed under the purview of the US Attorney for Delaware. But even so, allegations of tampering have not ceased.

Shapley maintains that he has no political motivation for coming forward. Instead, he just wants the IRS to treat the younger Biden as they would any United States citizen under investigation. As Shapley puts it, “It’s not what I want to do. I’m not involved with any of that stuff. This is a job, and my oath of office is to treat everybody fairly that we investigate.”
While Shapley insists that he has no political motive, it is clear that this is not just any ordinary case—there is a possibility of Biden family corruption involved. It seems that the DOJ would like to play a part in continuing the Biden family’s usual pattern of getting away with questionable financial activities, and it’s a shame that their actions have led to paralyzing the IRS’s investigation. Regardless, now that Shapley has come forward, the sooner the truth is revealed, the better it will be for the American people and our justice system.
