According to Representative Dean Phillips (D-MN), President Biden’s age disqualifies him from holding office in the White House. Phillips stated that if the President were 15-20 years younger, it would be an obvious decision to nominate him, but due to his age, it is ridiculous to avoid promoting competition and instead try to suppress it. Many Democrats share this perspective, but they keep their views hidden, as per Phillips.

Phillips said he has only praise for Biden, but "considering his age, it’s absurd we’re not promoting competition" in 2024. His message to Dems who feel the same: "Say it out loud.”

In a recent poll conducted by The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research, it was revealed that only 37 percent of Democrats desire President Biden to run for another term, marking a decline from 52 percent in the weeks prior to the previous year’s midterm elections. The follow-up inquiries in the survey indicate that the primary reason Americans feel he shouldn’t run again is due to his age, being 80 years old, with many highlighting his repeated verbal errors, persistent coughing, and his appearance of confusion about his whereabouts.
It’s clear that President Joe Biden’s age is a major concern for many Americans, and it’s easy to understand why. Despite this, First Lady Jill Biden has signaled that the President will be running for re-election in 2024. While this may seem like a noble gesture on the part of the First Lady, it’s important to remember that Biden is 80 years old and may not be physically or mentally capable of making essential decisions for the country.
