Jim Jordan Targets ActBlue Over Suspicious Fundraising Practices

House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan went on Wake Up America to lay out fresh facts from the committee’s probe into ActBlue, and he did not mince words. Jordan pressed that a powerful left-wing fundraising machine is now under scrutiny for how it handled donations during the 2024 cycle and whether it misled Congress about its screening practices. Americans deserve answers, and Republican investigators are determined to get them.

New reporting — and internal memos now in the hands of investigators — show that ActBlue’s own outside counsel warned the group that its CEO’s 2023 representations to Congress could be legally risky. Those memoranda allegedly said some of the “multilayered” fraud-prevention steps described to investigators were not always followed, a revelation that raises real questions about whether leadership knowingly painted a false picture. If true, this isn’t a bureaucratic error; it is a failure of accountability at the highest levels.

Republican investigators haven’t just talked tough — they’ve issued subpoenas and pursued transcribed interviews, only to have employees repeatedly decline to answer, invoking the Fifth Amendment dozens of times. That silence from the inside only deepens suspicion and bolsters the committees’ concerns that documents were withheld and testimony was obstructed. Congress must not let stonewalling become a get-out-of-accountability card for political operatives.

Now ActBlue’s CEO is scheduled to testify publicly and board members have been asked to explain themselves as Republicans expand the probe, a move that should put every Democrat who benefited from this fundraising juggernaut on notice. Public hearings scheduled for June look set to put the entire operation under a spotlight, and the American people should expect Congressional investigators to follow the paper trail wherever it goes. Transparency isn’t optional when the integrity of our elections is at stake.

This is about more than political theater — it’s about protecting the rule of law and the sanctity of votes cast by Americans, not foreign actors masquerading as donors. State authorities have already begun to act, and federal investigators should move with equal speed and seriousness to determine whether laws were broken and who bears responsibility. If patriotic Americans are to have faith in our system, Washington must show that no one is above accountability, no matter how politically connected.
