A judge has just handed President-Elect Donald Trump a substantial victory in the Georgia criminal case, something that could haul the Democrats back to their drawing board and maybe even dampen their glee over their endless legal battles against the former President. An appellate court has upheld the dismissal of certain charges in this case, which has been turning into quite the legislative circus act. However, this case still resembles the never-ending sequel that citizens wish would just wrap it up already.
The source of this showdown is none other than Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis, a Democrat who kicked off this circus by accusing Trump and his team of foul play when they challenged the Georgia election results from 2020. Although the charges had more holes than Swiss cheese from the get-go, one might say it was ambitious of Willis to have thought she could scare Trump off his game. In fact, she’s trying to hustle her way back into the spotlight by appealing to the Georgia Supreme Court, allegedly hoping that they’ll hand her the sympathy vote. Meanwhile, Trump’s team is working to block this stand-up comedy act from receiving any encore performances at the Supreme Court. Judge Scott McAfee is currently steering this shipwreck, having already tossed several charges into the legal abyss back in March. The latest ruling from the Georgia appellate court essentially validates McAfee’s earlier dismissal of six out of the thirteen charges brought against Trump.
