With her approach to immigration, the term “sovereignty” may soon be as relevant as an 8-track player at a karaoke bar. Under her leadership, it appears that the United States could well become a free-for-all, with the welcome mat rolled out not just for immigrants but for every Tom, Dick, and Harry from across the globe seeking asylum status.
Imagine a world where the southern border resembles a bustling international bus station, with people arriving not just from Mexico but from distant countries around the globe. Harris’s ambitions could lead to the dismantling of essential national security measures, making it seem as if every sob story is acceptable grounds for entry. Forget about waiting in line; America may soon be offering a fast track to anyone willing to claim that they need refuge. One can almost hear the faint echoes of liberty bells mixed with the chimes of open borders.

The current immigration policies might as well be written on a Post-it note, as Harris’s administration could peel them away and slap a “Come One, Come All” agenda on the wall. Deportations could become as rare as unicorns in a field of leprechauns. The notion of returning illegal immigrants to their home countries may be about as appealing to her as swimming with sharks. Instead, the focus would be on providing sanctuary to all who can craft a compelling tale of woe.
Furthermore, if this vision of an open-border America sounds alarm bells, it should. The potential influx could overwhelm cities and towns, converting once-peaceful neighborhoods into melting pots of confusion. Perhaps those who support such policies haven’t considered the implications of unchecked immigration on the very fabric of American society. Communities might grapple with the strain on resources, schools, and healthcare systems. But hey, who needs to think about that when there’s a vote to be won?
In the end, under a Harris presidency, the border could become less of a physical barrier and more of a symbolic line, perhaps even a rainbow painted on a convenience store wall. As the prospect of a borderless America looms, one can only hope common sense will eventually prevail. However, that seems about as likely as finding a needle in a haystack amidst all the chaos.
