Latino Support for Border Wall, Deportations Surges Under Biden

In an eye-opening development, a recent poll by Axios-Ipsos has revealed that a growing number of Latinos are stepping up to support key conservative initiatives, such as deportations and the construction of a border wall. This startling trend seems to confirm that the principles championed by former President Donald Trump are gaining traction among voters, sending shockwaves through the political landscape.

According to the poll, a significant percentage of Latino adults are throwing their support behind these conservative policies. A remarkable thirty-eight percent of Latinos now back the idea of deporting illegal aliens, marking an impressive ten-point increase since President Joe Biden took office. Even more striking, a staggering forty-two percent of Latino adults now endorse the construction of a border wall, showing a remarkable 12-point surge since 2021.

Not stopping there, an overwhelming sixty-four percent of Latino adults express their support for a president’s ability to close the borders in the event of a migrant invasion, demonstrating their unwavering commitment to upholding national security. Furthermore, when diving deeper into the numbers, it is evident that Cuban Americans lead the charge, with an impressive 58 percent backing for a border wall. Even amongst Mexican immigrants and Mexican Americans, a sizable 37 percent express their support for wall construction, while 43 percent of Central Americans also show their endorsement for the wall.

The poll also uncovered that Latino concern about Biden’s southern border incursion ranks third, with soaring costs and crime taking the top spots. These findings shed light on a significant shift in sentiment within the Latino community, as attitudes towards border security and immigration continue to evolve.

The survey, which sampled 1,012 Latino adults, has a margin of error of ±3.6 percent, lending credibility to the significant shift in support for conservative policies among the Latino population. Interestingly, it seems that Latino support for Biden has waned during his tenure, dropping by a substantial 12 points, while Trump has seen a notable surge of three points among Latinos.

These revelations come in the wake of a wave of alleged crimes committed by illegal aliens, further reinforcing the concerns voiced by a growing number of Latinos. As the political landscape continues to shift, these findings signify a noteworthy shift in support and attitudes within the Latino community, marking a pivotal moment in the ongoing national conversation around immigration and border security.
