In yet another display of liberal chaos and failure, the issue of illegal immigration and the disastrous situation on our southern border is taking center stage in the 2024 presidential campaign. It’s no surprise really, considering the mess that the Biden administration has made of our border security. But what is truly shocking is how even our sanctuary cities are unable to handle the massive influx of illegal immigrants.

These cities, which once proudly declared themselves as “sanctuaries” for illegal immigrants, are now facing a crisis of their own making. They are running out of space to house the people who flocked to their cities, and are resorting to desperate measures like housing them in airports. It’s like a bad game of musical chairs, except the prize is a one-way ticket to nowhere.
But now, some big-city mayors and their supporters are stepping up to the plate and offering their own homes as shelter for illegal aliens. It’s certainly a commendable gesture, and I must give credit where credit is due. However, there are some serious issues with this well-intentioned plan.
Take for example the case of Brookline, Massachusetts, home of none other than Mike Dukakis. How ironic that the same place where Dukakis once famously rode in a tank with a clueless expression on his face is now opening its doors to illegal immigrants. But let’s be honest, inviting strangers into your home without proper screening is just asking for trouble. Who knows what could happen when you have a bunch of unknown individuals living under the same roof? It’s a disaster waiting to happen.
And let’s not forget the insane comparison some have made between this situation and slavery. Sure, these illegal immigrants can technically leave whenever they want, but where will they go? Back to the airport? It’s not like they have a wealth of options. For some of them, being a virtual slave to a wealthy liberal in Boston might actually seem like a step up. They get food, shelter, and maybe even a job as a personal chef. It’s the woke version of slavery!
But while we’re on the topic of slavery, let’s not forget the story of Annie George, the New York woman who kept her illegal alien domestic servant as a virtual slave for over five years. Not all well-meaning gestures turn out so well, do they? It’s naive to think that welcoming refugees from the Third World into your home without proper vetting is a smart move. We don’t know who these people really are or what their intentions might be.
The fact is, we are letting in millions of people without any clue about who they are or what they might do once they enter our country. And the Biden administration seems perfectly content with allowing this flow to continue. While some may sleep soundly, thinking they are doing a good deed, they may one day wake up to find that their goodwill has been exploited. It’s a cautionary tale that we should all keep in mind.
This well-intentioned but misguided attempt to house illegal immigrants in private homes is a recipe for disaster. We need a strong and secure border, not a free-for-all where anyone can enter our country with no consequences. It’s time for the Biden administration to wake up and take action before it’s too late. The American people deserve better.
