According to Fox News. Despite being a potential Republican presidential candidate in 2024, Sen. Tom Cotton of Arkansas has decided not to run for office.
Sources close to Cotton told Fox News on Sunday that he has been reaching out to fundraisers, supporters, and aides in recent days to let them know that he won’t run for president. Cotton is a rising star in the GOP and an Army veteran who served in combat in the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. The news was initially reported by Politico.
Cotton admitted to fans and contributors that his family played a significant role in his choice. The 45-year-old senator’s two kids, who are 5 and 7 years old, share his family with wife Anna.
Even without Tom Cotton, another contender for president in 2024 is expected to challenge President Trump, according to news organisations.
