Mitch McConnell, the Republican Senate leader from Kentucky, is having none of the calls within his own party to impeach President Biden. It’s not surprising to see McConnell pushing back on this idea, as he’s made it clear that he’s not a fan of the Trump wing of the GOP.

While some Republicans, especially those in the pro-Trump camp, have been vocal about Biden’s alleged corruption and his son’s influence peddling, McConnell is saying, “Nope, not gonna happen!”
On the other side of the aisle, Speaker Kevin McCarthy has cautiously mentioned the possibility of an impeachment inquiry. However, McConnell believes that impeaching Biden would trivialize the whole impeachment process, which saw a lot of action during the Trump presidency. He also thinks it would create a never-ending cycle of partisan revenge.
McConnell’s stance is understandable. After all, Democrats put President Trump through not one, but two impeachment circuses. And who could forget the whole “Russian collusion” charade? Impeachment should be a rare occurrence, but the Dems have weaponized it to no end.
Now, all of a sudden, Democrats are finding their principles, as they face the possibility of impeachment themselves. Give me a break! They should be working with the president on tackling inflation, lowering costs, creating jobs, and growing the economy. But, no, they’d rather engage in shameless and baseless stunts.
The truth is, Democrats have trampled over every “norm” there is. They even went so far as to jail political opponents. Can you imagine trying to unite with an opposition that lacks any scruples? It seems like McConnell hasn’t pondered this question. But as we look at the circus that the Democrats have turned politics into, it’s becoming clear that standing up for conservative values and principles is more important than ever.
