In support of Ronna McDaniel, the chair of the Republican National Committee, over 150 prominent Republican donors wrote a letter on Monday.
The next leader of the Republican National Committee will be chosen at the end of January. Two of the candidates who are challenging her are Mike Lindell, the CEO of MyPillow, and Harmeet Dhillon, the national committeewoman from California. Despite the disappointing midterm election results, the donors who supported her pointed to her achievements and fundraising success.
In the letter, the donors praised Ronna for her transparency and integrity. She also led the party through difficult political times. Under her leadership, the Republican National Committee made significant contributions to the party's ecosystem.

According to the donors, under her leadership, the Republicans were able to gain the House of Representatives and replace Nancy Pelosi as the speaker of the House. They also noted that the party was able to strengthen its ground game and win competitive races.
Critics, however, noted that the Republican Party did not perform well in the midterm elections. They claimed that the party lost a Senate seat and only gained a narrow House majority. Under her leadership, the Republicans suffered losses in 2020, when they lost the presidency and the Senate, and in 2018, when they lost the House.
Some of the prominent individuals who signed the letter included Ambassador Duke Buchan, Ray Washburne, and Ron Weiser. These individuals served as finance chairs of the Republican National Committees.
In their letter, the donors expressed their confidence in Ronna's ability to lead the party into the 2024 presidential elections. They noted that she is a reliable fundraiser and a good steward of the party's resources.
