Minnesota Governor Walz Defends Biden Amid Criticism Over Age and Health Concerns

Minnesota Governor Tim Walz has recently made headlines for his unfortunate attempt to dismiss valid concerns about President Biden’s fitness for office. Walz, who is not only a Democrat but also the running mate of Vice President Kamala Harris, labeled concerns about Biden’s age as mere “ageism.” Apparently, in the world of Walz and his ilk, being cautious about the leader of the free world is akin to discrimination against seniors. The irony here is as thick as a politician’s skin.

Voter sentiment shows that a staggering 68 percent of Americans believe that Harris is somehow complicit in hiding Biden’s health issues. Maybe that’s why Walz was chosen as Harris’s running mate—after all, they need someone equally skilled at dodging responsibility. With Harris’s track record of avoiding questions like the plague, bringing Walz on board seems to be a match made in a smoke-filled room.

Walz’s record as governor leaves much to be desired. Just recently, a report from Minnesota’s legislative auditor revealed that his administration had completely dropped the ball on overseeing millions of federal dollars allocated to nonprofits aimed at feeding children. The contention is that Walz’s incompetence opened the door for fraud, which certainly puts a new spin on the phrase “feeding the children.” While he was busy trying to play the saint, fraudsters were evidently having a field day with taxpayers’ money.

In an even more concerning move, Walz made headlines for endorsing legislation that would enable minors to undergo sex-change operations in Minnesota. As if that wasn’t enough, he also supported a law mandating that schools provide period products in boys’ bathrooms. These policy choices have left many scratching their heads and questioning if Walz has his finger on the pulse of Minnesota, or if he’s just feverishly trying to keep up with the latest trend in progressive politics.

Adding fuel to the fire, Walz failed spectacularly to respond to the riots across Minneapolis following George Floyd’s contentious death. Even Minneapolis’s liberal mayor, Jacob Frey, was vocal in his disappointment over the governor’s handling of the situation. Under Walz’s watch, Minnesota also rolled out free college tuition for illegal immigrants and passed a law allowing up to 77,000 illegals the right to obtain driver’s licenses. One can only assume that Walz’s version of “Minnesota nice” also comes with a side of taxpayer dollars flying out the window.

In a not-so-shocking twist, Walz has been linked with promoting socialism, even at a rather awkward “White Dudes for Harris” event. His legacy as a radical member of the House of Representatives, where he earned a lifetime score of 13 percent from Heritage Action, should tell voters everything they need to know about him. If Walz’s resume reads like a checklist for the left, it’s time for Minnesota to take a long, hard look in the mirror.
