Montana Gov Sued for Race, Gender Bias in Med Board Picks

In a shocking turn of events, the Montana Governor, Gregory Gianforte, found himself in hot water as the Pacific Legal Foundation took legal action against him. This foundation, representing the medical activist group Do No Harm, filed a lawsuit in the United States District Court for the District of Montana Helena Division. The lawsuit targeted the Governor over alleged gender-based and race-based requirements for the top medical board in the state.

The Pacific Legal Foundation argued that these discriminatory mandates violated the Equal Protection Clause of the Constitution. And let’s face it, folks, the Constitution is the bedrock of our nation. We can’t have politicians playing fast and loose with our fundamental rights!

It’s absurd that in this day and age, appointments to a medical licensing board would be based on anything other than qualifications and expertise. Doctor Stanley Goldfarb, the chairman of Do No Harm, hit the nail on the head when he said that expertise should be the primary factor in these appointments. Bravo, Doctor Goldfarb, bravo! The idea that the Governor must consider race and gender in such appointments is not only unconstitutional but also dangerous for the quality of healthcare in Montana.

Conservative legal groups have long been fighting against race and sex-based discrimination, citing the 14th Amendment’s Equal Protection Clause. And you know what? They’re absolutely right! We can’t let our society devolve into judging individuals based on factors they have no control over.

Governor Gianforte, for his part, has been quiet on the matter. But let’s hope he sees the error of his ways and rectifies this situation promptly. We need leaders who prioritize meritocracy over divisive identity politics. Let’s hope justice prevails in this lawsuit, and Montana can once again focus on excellence in medical practice rather than political correctness run amok.
