The so-called Never-Trumpers have shown their true colors as they turn into Trump supporters. It is ironic that those who have been the loudest opponents of President Donald Trump are now fawning towards him. With multiple people in the mix for the Republican presidential ticket in 2024, including governors, a senator, a former UN ambassador, Trump’s VP, a talk show host, and two software industry experts, two names dominate the conversation: Trump and Ron DeSantis. This exposes the hypocrisy of those who claim to defend conservative principles. These Never-Trumpers have never been able to answer one simple question: who do they promote as their preferred conservative candidate? The answer is always nothing.

The fact that Governor DeSantis is being discussed should raise an eyebrow. He is a politically formidable figure and popular. Governor DeSantis does not need to coddle the press to get his message out, which has the left-wing media scared. He is consistently painted as a cartoonish villain by the press, illustrating how low they have sunk.
These Never-Trumpers are now praising Trump despite their previous claims that he posed a threat to democracy. Here are a few examples. Charlie Sykes, commander of The Bulwark, previously rebuked Trump for using sophomoric names to shame opponents and now echos Trump by employing his daft nickname for DeSantis. Bill Kristol, the Never-Trumper who once viewed Trump as horrific, now looks at DeSantis and not only trembles but rushes to invoke the same qualities of Trump that diminish the DeSantis import. The Lincoln Project ended up sounding like Trump cultists of the most rabid levels when they put out a public letter to DeSantis.
What is happening here is that, despite their claims, all of these figures share a common goal: a Trump victory. He is needed to continue with their “justified” outrage and their job security. Even a second presidential election victory for Trump would not be considered bad news for them since it would ensure four years of job security. These elevated thinkers need to understand that a Trump victory would mean their avowed opposition to him had been a complete failure. But for them, it would not stop their money-hoovering grifts.
In conclusion, it is no surprise that the Never-Trumpers are now Trump supporters. They will do whatever it takes to keep their job security, which means they need Trump. Their claims of defending conservative principles are baseless, and they will continue to lie and deceive until their grifts are running strong.
