In a stunning display of ignorance, former President Barack Obama has decided to weigh in on the conflict between Israel and Hamas. Obama, who has remained silent on the matter until now, took to social media to condemn the killing of innocent civilians and call for a lasting peace in the region. While it may seem noble to some, it’s hard to take Obama’s words seriously given his own track record.

During his presidency, Obama not only sent $1.7 billion to Iran, a known sponsor of terrorism, but also provided an additional $6 billion to the Iranian regime under the Biden administration. It’s no secret that Iran has been supporting Hamas in their attacks on Israel, so it’s quite possible that Obama’s financial support actually helped enable these devastating attacks.
Furthermore, Obama’s concern for innocent civilian lives rings hollow considering his own involvement in the drone program. During his time in office, Obama authorized 542 drone strikes, resulting in the deaths of an estimated 3,797 people, including 324 civilians. And those are just the official numbers. We have no way of knowing how many innocent lives were actually lost due to these strikes.
Obama’s attempts to distance himself from the consequences of his actions are laughable. He claims that he didn’t fully grasp the dangers of drone warfare until later in his presidency and tried to implement checks and balances to prevent abuses. But the fact remains that he was the one who authorized these strikes in the first place and should be held accountable for the innocent lives that were lost as a result.
It’s clear that Obama lacks the self-awareness to realize the irony of his statements. A man who has blood on his hands from his own actions is condemning the killing of innocent life in another country. It’s yet another example of the hypocrisy that runs rampant in the liberal agenda. Thankfully, we now have a president who prioritizes American interests and stands firmly with our ally, Israel.
