Poll Shows 41 Percent of Democrats Want Biden Out of 2024 Race

A recent poll conducted by USA Today/Suffolk University revealed that a significant portion of Democrat voters, 41 percent to be precise, are calling for President Joe Biden to drop out of the 2024 race. This sentiment starkly contrasts with the 51 percent who still want him to stay on the ticket, showcasing a clear division among the party faithful.

Following a heated debate performance, which Democrat operatives and donors carefully scrutinized for its impact on Biden’s candidacy, the poll showed that former President Donald Trump emerged as the clear winner in the eyes of voters, with a staggering five-to-one ratio favoring him. Only a meager 28 percent of Biden supporters felt that he had come out on top.

Interestingly, the survey indicated that a mere 24 percent of Democrats felt more inclined to support Biden after the debate, while nine percent expressed a newfound interest in backing a third-party candidate. Independents were even less forgiving, with a resounding 64 percent indicating their preference for Biden to be replaced on the ballot.

Among independent voters, 26 percent stated that the debate had swayed them towards supporting Trump, further underscoring the challenging road ahead for Biden’s re-election bid. The concerns raised by voters regarding Biden’s performance painted a somber picture, describing him as “confused” and “incoherent,” qualities that seemed to have played a decisive role in Trump’s perceived victory.

In response to the mounting pressure, Biden has crafted an eight-point public relations campaign to salvage his image and retain his position as the Democrat Party’s nominee. Despite calls from some quarters for him to step aside, Biden is resolute in his determination to soldier on, with the backing of key figures such as First Lady Jill Biden and his son, Hunter Biden.

Biden's challenges are becoming increasingly apparent as the political landscape shifts in the lead-up to the November elections. With Trump currently holding a sizable lead over Biden in the popular vote forecast, the road ahead looks rocky for the incumbent president. Will Biden’s new public relations strategy be enough to sway skeptical voters back into his camp? Only time will tell.
