His reluctance to utilize this federal law demonstrates a clear preference for political alliances rather than the welfare of American families. He’s leaving the nation to sweat it out while he plays mediator in a game of labor negotiations that could take weeks, if not longer.

Since April 1947, Taft-Hartley has served as a bulwark against labor strife that disrupts the national economy. Yet Biden seems less concerned with historical precedent and labor stability than with appeasing the political factions that have bankrolled his rise to power.
