Rep. Elise Stefanik, a Republican from New York, criticized President Joe Biden’s decisions while speaking to Israeli lawmakers in Israel. Stefanik, who is a strong supporter of former President Donald Trump, took issue with Biden’s choice to withhold offensive weapons from Israel during their major offensive in Rafah. She emphasized the importance of the aid that was approved by Congress and argued that there is no excuse for the president not to support Israel.

Bates, a spokesperson for the White House, defended Biden by stating that there has been no better supporter of Israel than the president. He highlighted Biden’s previous actions, such as being the first president to visit Israel during a war and ordering the US military to defend Israel from an attack by a foreign nation. Bates maintained that Biden’s support for Israel’s security is unwavering and condemned those on the right who have criticized the Israeli government.
Stefanik praised Trump’s policies on Israel and positioned herself as a key supporter of the former president. She also suggested that she might be a potential running mate for Trump in the future. Stefanik emphasized the need for Israel to achieve “total victory” due to the global rise of antisemitism, claiming that the enemy includes powerful Western institutions where antisemitism is spreading.
The conflict in Gaza began on October 7 when Hamas terrorists initiated multiple attacks on Israel.
