A survey conducted by Susquehanna Polling and Research revealed that Republican Rep. Ron DeSantis had a lead of four percentage points against Democrat Rep. Charlie Crist (D-FL), with 47 percent to 43 percent of the vote. Despite this, ten percent of voters had not made up their minds about the race. In addition, Crist leads among independents who have made up their minds, 36 percent to 31 percent, but roughly one-third of independents are still on the fence.
In addition, Rubio has a three-point edge over his opponent, Democratic Representative Val Demings of Florida, with 47 percent to Demings's 44 percent. The surveys are being conducted at a time when each particular race is heating up. DeSantis has sought to differentiate himself from Crist, who is a supporter of Biden and who recently lauded the President for having the "courage" to criticize MAGA Republicans. Crist is a supporter of Biden.
In the meantime, Rubio has continued to highlight how extreme his opponent is on the topic of abortion, while Demings has continued to refuse to declare explicitly whether or not she feels that abortion should be illegal. Rubio has emphasized how radical his opponent is on this issue.
Rubio stated in a recent interview that she feels it "should be paid by taxpayers at any time, at any time, including perhaps today that the child is going to be delivered." She is of the opinion that it "should be paid by taxpayers at any time, at any time."
