Report: Rep. Taylor-Greene Seeking Spot On Trump’s 2024 Ticket

Marjorie Taylor Greene, a Republican from Georgia, is reportedly interested in becoming Donald Trump's choice for vice president in 2024.

According to sources, Greene has tried to rebrand her image as a unifying force within the Republican Party. She is reportedly on Trump's shortlist for the vice presidency.

Steve Bannon, who was a former Trump adviser, stated that Greene is not shy about her ambitions. He claimed that she sees herself as a potential vice president under Trump.

An anonymous source close to Trump and Greene claimed that she would be on the Republican candidate's shortlist for vice president. However, the Trump campaign has not officially released a list of potential picks.

A representative for Greene stated that she is focused on serving her constituents in Northwest Georgia. She is also working on various committees, such as the Oversight and Homeland Security panels.

After supporting House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy's bid for the speakership, Greene was appointed to the House Homeland Security and Oversight committees. She had a disagreement with some of her Freedom Caucus colleagues, such as Florida's Matt Gaetz and Lauren Brousbert.

In February 2021, the House of Representatives removed Greene from her committee assignments due to the January 6th riot. She was also accused of promoting conspiracy theories.

Trump is currently in South Carolina and New Hampshire for the first events of his campaign for the 2024 presidential elections. He announced his intention to run for president in November 2022. His campaign was launched following the disappointing performance of the Republican Party in the midterm elections in the previous year.
