Special counsel Jack Smith just shut down former President Donald Trump’s attempt to halt the criminal proceedings against him. Smith is not having it, y’all! He snappily responded to Trump’s desperate plea, saying the Supreme Court needs to shut it down and deny Trump’s efforts to stop the show.

Well, well, well, it looks like Trump met the deadline to appeal the U.S. Court of Appeals’ ruling against his precious claims of presidential immunity. But Smith bluntly slammed Trump’s emergency appeal, stating that Trump’s claim of absolute immunity is about as likely to succeed as finding a unicorn in downtown New York City.
