In a surprising turn of events, Representative Cori Bush (D-MO) may be facing a primary challenger. Wesley Bell, a Soros-funded prosecutor, has decided to drop his Senate campaign and take on Bush. Why? Well, it seems that Bush’s response to Hamas’ recent terrorist attack against Israel did not sit well with Bell and many other Democrats.
This is a big deal. Wesley Bell (D) is a progressive Soros funded prosecutor. Bell was running a longshot race for #MOSen but he clearly had enough of #MO01 Rep. Cori Bush's antisemitism & general insanity so he's decided to primary her & run as a non-antisemitic progressive. https://t.co/u1dUs9P6BV

Bell, who had initially spoken out against Republican Senator Josh Hawley, felt compelled to challenge Bush after hearing fellow Democrats express their concerns about her stance on Israel. He believes that in these dangerous times, we need effective leadership, both in the district and on the world stage.
When addressing the issue, Bell emphasized the importance of standing with our democratic allies, including Ukraine and Israel, and promoting peace. He also criticized Bush for not taking a strong enough stance against Hamas, stating that we cannot provide aid and comfort to terrorist organizations.
Notably, Bell has personal experience with the situation in Israel. He visited a kibbutz in 2017 and witnessed the threat posed by Hamas firsthand. Bell understands the urgency of defending our allies and ensuring their safety.
While Bell’s decision to challenge Bush is significant news, it is worth mentioning that concerns have been raised about his backing from Soros-funded groups. The recent illegal protests in the Cannon House building, organized by pro-Hamas activists, were also reportedly funded by Soros-backed organizations. This association may raise eyebrows among conservatives who are wary of Soros’s influence.
In addition to the primary challenge, Bush has faced criticism for her resolution calling for a ceasefire that allegedly failed to adequately address Hamas’s actions. She has also used her social media platform to spread what some consider to be anti-Israel narratives, accusing our ally in the Middle East of engaging in “ethnic cleansing.” These remarks have garnered strong pushback and have been challenged by numerous individuals who believe the opposite is true.
It is evident that Bush’s comments and actions regarding Israel have sparked controversy, even within her own party. As the primary challenge unfolds, it will be interesting to see how Democrats respond and whether they align with Bell’s concerns about effective leadership and support for our allies.
