Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor, at a speech at the University of California – Berkeley School of Law, made it clear that she was not too thrilled about the recent conservative wins at the high court. In a move that might make you roll your eyes and give her a “boo-hoo” glass of water, the liberal justice admitted that conservative victories make her feel like she’s been emotionally punched in the gut. Talk about a sore loser, am I right?

She even went so far as to say that she lives in frustration and feels downright “traumatized” with every conservative loss. But fear not, folks – she’s not giving up that easily. Nope, she’s gonna keep on fighting, even if it means having a serious case of the sads.
Former President Trump was able to appoint three justices during his term, giving the conservative side a fighting chance and causing some major upset for the left. With their recent wins on issues like abortion, guns, and affirmative action, it’s no wonder Sotomayor is feeling like she’s in for a tough battle ahead.
And don’t even get her started on how she deals with her colleagues who have different beliefs. She claims to look for the good in them, but it’s clear she’s not really feeling the warm fuzzies. She even tried to give some encouragement to the left-leaning students upset about the conservative majority on the court, saying that change doesn’t just happen on its own. Well, we all know what she really means – she’s not happy about the way things are going.
But wait, there’s more! She also expressed her frustrations with the heavy workload on the high court. Saying that cases are bigger and more demanding, she let everyone know that she’s tired and misses the good ol’ days of having a chunk of summer break. Oh, the horror! And let’s not forget the “busy almost on a weekly basis” emergency calendar – the nerve of those cases to demand attention!
But despite the workload not being what she expected at her age, she claims to keep on truckin’ because she understands the big impact the court has on people, the country, and sometimes the world. Well, isn’t that just touching? But hey, if it keeps her going, then more power to her.
