Former President Donald Trump has turned his sights on Special Counsel Jack Smith yet again, after the latter filed a superseding indictment containing the same four charges against the former president that had already been levied in the ongoing saga surrounding the 2020 election. This latest move from Smith is being framed by Trump as nothing more than a desperate attempt to revive a “dead” witch hunt.
In a post shared on Truth Social, Trump did not hold back, suggesting that the updated indictment carries all the flaws of the original and deserves to be tossed out with the rest of the trash. The charges in question include conspiring to defraud the United States, obstructing official proceedings, and conspiracy against rights—nothing new for Trump, who has likened the entire situation to a bad rerun that viewers have long since changed the channel on.

Trump’s comments come on the heels of a grand jury in Washington, D.C. making this move to reinvigorate the charges.
