Former President Donald Trump, America’s favorite businessman-turned-politician, just couldn’t resist stealing the spotlight once again. He delivered some fiery remarks from his luxurious Mar-a-Lago resort in sunny Palm Beach, Florida, while the Supreme Court was busy listening to arguments about whether to keep him off state ballots. Yes, you read that right, Trump is still making waves even after leaving the White House!
Now, the Supreme Court showdown all started with a bunch of sour grapes from the Colorado Supreme Court. They disqualified Trump from their precious presidential primary ballot, claiming he violated the 14th Amendment. What’s next? Are they going to start disqualifying people from bake sales for not following the 15th Amendment’s rules on dessert diversity?
The Colorado Supreme Court is playing the blame game, saying Trump had a hand in the Capitol Hill riot back in January 2021. They see it as an “insurrection” and claim that participating in such an act violates a section of the 14th Amendment. But hold on just a minute. Nobody, not Trump, not his supporters, nobody, has been officially charged with insurrection. The courts need to get their facts straight before pointing fingers and making wild accusations.
The left-wing establishment is always jumping at the chance to stick it to Trump. Even though he’s sipping on a piña colada in sunny Florida, they just can’t let him go. But the truth will prevail, and the Supreme Court will surely see through this political witch hunt. Let’s hope they make the right decision and give the people the right to choose who they want on the ballot. After all, America is about freedom and choice, right? Well, at least it used to be before the PC police took over.
