President Trump stood where every president should stand — with the Bible in hand and the Constitution in heart — reading aloud from 2 Chronicles as part of the America Reads the Bible segment tied to the Rededicate 250 observance. It was a deliberate reclaiming of the language of faith and nationhood that too many in the coastal media pretend is outdated or offensive.
Thousands of everyday Americans answered the call and filled the National Mall to take part in a daylong rededication of our country as One Nation under God, proving that faith still moves the masses when the left abandons the people. This was not an elite cocktail-hour for donors; it was a grassroots revival on the lawn of the republic.
This moment wasn’t some spontaneous stunt — it’s part of the America 250 and Freedom 250 initiatives to mark our semiquincentennial with Scripture, testimony, and public prayer, a rightful nod to the moral roots that shaped this country. Patriotic organizers and the White House framed the day as a national opportunity to reaffirm our spiritual foundation heading into America’s 250th year.
Predictably, the usual suspects howled about “Christian nationalism” and the separation of church and state as if admitting history or inviting prayer were crimes. Those criticisms reveal more about the left’s allergy to public expressions of faith than any real constitutional concern — Americans can both be devout and devoted to liberty.
The program was heavy with the pastors, bishops, and faith leaders who have been standing with hardworking families for decades, not the secular elites who lecture us from ivory towers. That lineup — evangelicals, conservative Catholics, civic leaders — reflected the real religious tapestry that built our schools, hospitals, and civic institutions, and it deserves respect rather than scorn.
This was a test of courage and character, and ordinary patriots passed it with flying colors. If the coastal media wants to mock Americans praying together on the Mall, they’ll do it from empty pews and shrinking circulation numbers; the rest of us will keep coming together to defend faith, family, and country.
