Former President Trump criticized President Biden for authorizing the raid on his Mar-a-Lago estate, which recent court documents revealed included the authorization of deadly force if necessary. According to these unsealed records, the FBI had the green light to use deadly force during the August 2022 raid on Trump’s compound.
Trump took to Truth Social to express his outrage, labeling Biden as mentally unfit for office and a threat to the country. Trump’s attorney, Todd Blanche, outlined the details of the raid, which included instructions for using deadly force if needed. The FBI, however, defended its actions, stating that the use of deadly force was a standard policy statement included in the search warrant and that no additional steps were ordered.

Former FBI Washington Field Office head Steven D’Antuono also testified that there was no show of force during the raid and that they had coordinated with the Secret Service to ensure a smooth entry into Mar-a-Lago. The FBI guidelines for the use of deadly force were updated in June 2022, setting stringent rules for when such force can be authorized.
The White House and House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan (R-OH) were contacted for comment, but no response was received. This revelation raises questions about the Biden administration’s handling of the situation and adds fuel to the ongoing political feud between Trump and Biden.
