In classic Trump fashion, the former president is dominating the polls in Virginia, leaving President Joe Biden in his rearview mirror. The latest poll from Emerson College Polling and The Hill shows Trump leading Biden 45% to 43%, demonstrating that even in a state Biden won by a whopping 10 points in 2020, Trump is back with a vengeance. Clearly, the winds of change are blowing, and they’re carrying Trump’s signature red hat with them.
Earlier this week, a Virginia Commonwealth University survey also indicated a Trump lead, showing him ahead at 39% to Biden’s 36%. Seems like Virginia voters are waking up and smelling the coffee, realizing that their 2020 decision might need a serious reconsideration. What’s more amusing is that this trend is unfolding in a state that hasn’t seen a Republican presidential win since George W. Bush in 2004. It’s about time Virginia jumps back on the GOP train.
It’s no wonder why Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin was seated cozily next to Trump at the GOP convention in Milwaukee. Youngkin, previously eyed as a potential running mate for Trump, is shaping up to be a strong ally. However, the honors for the VP pick went to Sen. J.D. Vance from Ohio. One can only imagine the liberal media’s dismay at seeing this growing GOP camaraderie.

The survey also presented an intriguing twist: if third-party candidates such as Robert F. Kennedy Jr. are considered, Trump’s lead expands to a comfortable 5 points. Talk about gaining ground! Democrats must be sweating bullets as their paths to victory start looking like narrow goat trails. With over three months to go until Election Day, the Biden camp better start figuring out their next move, or they’ll be left watching Trump carve his triumphant return to the White House.
