Tulsi Gabbard has taken a bold step that would make any conservative grin. The National Intelligence Director has decided to cut the security clearances of numerous former Biden officials and others who have been entangled in the legal web surrounding Donald Trump. This move not only underscores the ongoing political drama, but it also showcases Gabbard’s commitment to tidying up the national security apparatus, one security clearance at a time.
Among the unfortunate souls losing their access are characters like Antony Blinken and Jake Sullivan, those who might as well be seen as the poster children for the Biden administration’s questionable foreign policy decisions. Gabbard’s decisions hold tremendous implications, especially since it affects those who previously oversaw intelligence briefings and national security matters. One can only imagine the scrambling to find new jobs in the private sector for these bureaucrats whose only real talent seems to be misplacing classified information.
It gets better. The former President Joseph R. Biden himself has been demoted in a rather cheeky manner. No longer will he receive the President’s Daily Brief, the daily summary of crucial issues that the sitting president relies on to guide national strategy. While he was undoubtedly too busy to pay attention to the first few hundred briefings he received, one wonders how the former leader of the free world will fill his time without the comforting reassurance of someone else’s hard work.

Gabbard’s elegant online post stated that security clearances had also been revoked for several high-profile figures, including lawyers and politicians who seem to have made a career out of scrutinizing Trump. For instance, Letitia James, the Attorney General of New York who spearheaded numerous lawsuits against Trump, can now add “unemployable” to her resume. Perhaps her next target could be state-level adult film star? The career change might suit her better.
In a fit of righteousness, some of those impacted have thrown their hands up in horror, claiming breaches in due process. Yet, one would struggle to find sympathy for individuals whose entire professional life has revolved around undermining a sitting president and engaging in legal gymnastics to trap him. After all, isn’t the judicial system supposed to work both ways? Gabbard’s strategic axe on clearances might just be the wake-up call these individuals need, reminding them that in politics, there are always consequences for one’s actions—even if they’re well-dressed and seated behind desks in plush offices.
This move by Gabbard not only cements her reputation as a no-nonsense politician but also signals a desire for accountability among those who wield power. One can only hope that such decisive actions become the norm, instead of just fleeting moments in the murky world of political warfare.
