It is now clear that Nancy Pelosi was wrong when she swore she had “cold hard evidence” of collusion between the Trump family and Russia in 2017. The John Durham Report, released on Monday, confirmed that there was never any collusion between Trump and Russia in a 300-page report. It is clear that Hillary Clinton started the smear and the FBI ran with it.
The FBI knew from the beginning that the Clinton campaign plan to link Trump-Russia was briefed to President Obama, VP Biden, AG Lynch, and FBI Director Comey. This information was known to the CIA and yet the FBI still chose to pursue this false narrative. This is a clear example of the FBI’s lack of analytical rigor towards the information they received, especially information received from politically affiliated persons and entities.
The actions of Pelosi and the FBI are a disgrace to our democracy and a disservice to the American people. They have shown a blatant disregard for the truth and have put their own political agenda ahead of the facts. It is unacceptable that they have used their positions of power to spread lies and misinformation to the public.
The Durham Report is a reminder that we must hold our elected officials accountable for their actions and ensure that they are not using their power to spread false information. We must also demand that our government agencies be held to a higher standard of truth and accuracy when it comes to reporting on matters of national security.
The Trump-Russia collusion narrative has been debunked, but it is important to remember that this was not an isolated incident. This is a pattern of behavior from Pelosi and other Democrats that must be stopped. We must demand that our elected officials be honest and transparent with the American people and not use their positions of power to spread lies and misinformation.
