A Washington, D.C. official wrote positively about Louis Farrakhan, who has made hurtful comments about Jewish people. Even though the White House initially said he wouldn’t be allowed back after her remarks, visitor records show he visited at least two more times. The White House spokesperson said
President Biden strongly disagrees with praising Farrakhan’s hurtful views. A group called the Republican Jewish Coalition wants the White House to explain why the official was invited back, especially after a terrorist attack on Israel.
WH Deputy press sec Andrew Bates told @HoustonKeene in 2022 that Cora Masters Barry would not be invited back to the WH after she praised notorious antisemite Louis Farrakhan.

The White House hosted a concert for the Juneteenth holiday, and the officials likely attended that event. He also attended an evening reception at the White House in December 2023. At a private event, the official commented about Farrakhan honoring her late husband, former Washington Mayor Marion Barry.
Previously, the official donated money to President Biden’s and Hillary Clinton’s campaigns. Mayor Bowser appointed the official to her post in Washington, D.C., and praised her for her work.
