A 66-year-old woman is facing serious charges after crashing into a children’s birthday party in Michigan. The woman, Marshella Marie Chidester, allegedly drove her car into the Swan Boat Club where the party was happening. The car went into the building, causing harm to many people, including two young children who tragically lost their lives.
The crash also left the mother of the children and others seriously injured. Authorities say Chidester is charged with second-degree murder, among other offenses, for the devastating incident. She appeared in court and is being held on a high bond.
