Joe and Jill Biden’s love affair was fueled by persistence. The couple, who got married in 1977, talked about their relationship during an appearance on “The Drew Barrymore Show.”

After returning to Philadelphia, Biden went to his Jill’s apartment and asked her to marry him. He said it was his last ditch chance to get her to say yes.
