It appears that the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has significantly erred in this regard. In spite of the efforts of the Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse at Syracuse University, more than two hundred thousand unauthorized immigrants have evaded deportation under the administration of President Joe Biden, according to a report.
It appears that the DHS neglected to submit the required documentation, referred to as "notices to appear," prior to the court dates set for these unauthorized immigrants. Do you also understand what that signifies? This indicates that the courts lack the authority to hear their deportation case. Those who heard that correctly, indeed. The incompetence of the Biden administration has enabled these lawbreakers to evade consequences.

Additionally, the report disclosed that the courts in Miami, Houston, New York City, Chicago, and Orlando were the most severely impacted, as the DHS breached their legal obligations and had to dismiss between 5,000 and 18,500 cases. This is absolutely mind-boggling. It is as if the Biden administration is extending an open invitation to unauthorized immigrants to remain in the United States.
Furthermore, the adjudication process for these cases may span several years, and in some cases, even a decade. This means that while awaiting a judge's decision, these unauthorized immigrants are essentially lounging and savoring the benefits of their illegal presence in the United States. It is an outright travesty.
However, the situation worsens even further. Additionally, the report highlighted how these errors committed by the department have not only nullified the deportation proceedings but have also precluded these individuals from pursuing asylum. To be eligible to file an asylum claim, immigrants must be the subject of pending removal proceedings in a court of law. They are unable to apply for asylum or obtain legal work documents in the absence of that. Consequently, they are not only present in violation of the law but are also granted the privilege of remaining without facing any repercussions.
Consider this the stinger, everyone. Technically, the DHS could reissue a notice to appear for each individual, thereby restarting the entire procedure. However, wonder what? These immigrants would be rendered in legal purgatory if they were unaware of the new case.
Furthermore, where is the DHS in this mess? Surprisingly, they chose not to provide a response when asked for comment. It is as if they are content to let this matter resolve itself in the interim, allowing unauthorized immigrants to continue exploiting our flawed system.
In conclusion, everyone. An additional error on the part of the Biden administration that permits unauthorized immigrants to roam freely in our nation. It is time for our leaders to prioritize the safety and security of American citizens and to assume responsibility for their actions.
