House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) has been working diligently to hold President Joe Biden accountable for his actions. After formally inviting the President to testify before the Committee, Comer was disappointed to receive a letter from Special Counsel Richard Sauber stating that Biden would not be testifying. Sauber even went as far as to use scare quotes when referring to the House Republican impeachment inquiry.

Despite Sauber’s letter, House Republicans have provided evidence of wrongdoing, including eyewitness testimony from former business associates of Hunter Biden. These witnesses implicated Joe Biden in the corrupt activities and even referred to him as “the Big Guy.”
Furthermore, President Biden’s refusal to appear and answer the ten questions posed by Comer only adds to the suspicion surrounding the Biden family’s influence peddling. Comer emphasized that the American people deserve transparency in this matter, and it is unfortunate that Biden continues to evade public scrutiny.
Comer, along with House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan, has also sought more information from the FBI and ODNI regarding “defensive” briefings that Joe Biden may have received regarding his son’s foreign business dealings. Their efforts demonstrate a commitment to uncovering the truth and holding the President accountable for any potential misconduct.
Overall, Comer’s persistence in pursuing the investigation into Biden’s actions aligns with his commitment to upholding transparency and accountability in government.
