President Biden has hit a major rough patch in the eyes of the American public, according to a recent survey by Monmouth University. The survey revealed that Biden’s overall approval rating is at a paltry 34 percent, his lowest since taking office. But wait, there’s more! His handling of immigration and inflation scored even lower, at a dismal 26 percent and 28 percent, respectively. He didn’t fare much better on climate change with a 38 percent approval rating, and only 42 percent of respondents approved of his handling of jobs and infrastructure.

CNN’s Dana Bash didn’t hold back in her assessment of the situation, bluntly stating that Biden’s numbers on these key issues are just not cutting it. Even CNN political analyst Seung Min Kim couldn’t sugarcoat it, agreeing that “It’s not good at all.”
And to add insult to injury, senior Biden administration officials jetted off to Mexico, not just for some chit-chat but also to downplay the dumpster fire of Biden’s border policies. They’re desperately trying to shift the blame and emphasize that it’s a regional problem that needs everyone’s cooperation. Looks like the administration might have to swallow the bitter pill and make some major concessions on immigration next month.
Patrick Murray, big-shot director of the Monmouth University Polling Institute, chimed in with his two cents. He’s of the mind that Biden’s approval ratings on inflation are being hammered by the painful reality of post-pandemic price hikes. The Biden administration can talk all they want about their infrastructure investments and rosy economic data, but the average Joe is still feeling the pinch at the checkout. Telling people their perception of their own wallet is wrong is like trying to convince a kid that broccoli tastes like chocolate.
