In a recent Washington Post/ABC News poll, President Joe Biden’s approval rating has plummeted to historic lows, causing chaos in the Democratic Party and leaving liberal network CNN in disbelief. The poll revealed that Biden’s approval rating is currently at a disastrous 36 percent, making him the American president with the lowest approval rating at this point in their first term. Even 58 percent of Democrats and Democratic-leaning independents agree that they want their party to nominate someone else.
CNN host Kate Bolduan admitted that “voters are saying [Biden] has real work to do, and that’s even among his own party.” This poll suggests that the president’s disastrous decisions may cause irreversible damage to his campaign ahead of the 2024 election.
CNN’s reporter Arlette Saenz suggests age and awareness issues may be the cause of his low polling numbers. According to the poll, only 32 percent of voters believe that the 80-year-old president has the mental sharpness to serve effectively, whereas 54 percent of voters believe that former President Donald Trump has the mental capability to serve as President effectively.

The New York Times recently reported that since President Reagan, Biden has held the fewest press conferences, with only two years into Trump’s term, he held four times the press conferences that Biden has, raising concerns among some in the media.
President Biden’s absence from the media is also raising eyebrows. “His political strategists want to protect him from unscripted exchanges that have often resulted in missteps and criticism,” wrote the New York Times in a recent piece about the president’s lack of availability to the media.
No surprise that the majority of voters in the poll who were asked, “Who do you think did a better job handling the economy – Donald Trump when he was president, or Joe Biden during his presidency so far?” picked Trump at 54 percent, compared to Biden’s 36 percent.
Biden’s catastrophic decisions have caused him to lose the trust of the American people, and if he doesn’t take swift action to reverse his course, he may not recover before the 2024 election. It’s clear that Biden is a failed president whose disastrous policies have hurt American citizens and the economy.
