In a stunning revelation, a former senior Trump administration official is set to testify that the Biden administration has shown a “flagrant disregard” for the law when it comes to handling immigration. Joe Edlow, the former acting director of U.S. Immigration and Citizenship Services (USCIS), will specifically point to the Biden administration’s policies that have imposed limits on immigration enforcement. Can you believe it? It’s as if they think they can just choose which laws to enforce and ignore the ones they don’t like. This is a clear violation of the law and a slap in the face to the American people.
But the evidence is hard to ignore. Border Patrol recorded over 2.2 million encounters of migrants crossing the southern border illegally in fiscal year 2022. And in fiscal year 2023, that number skyrocketed to over 2 million. And guess what? We’re already seeing new highs in fiscal year 2023, with December encounters surpassing 300,000. This is an absolute crisis at our border, and the Biden administration seems more interested in opening the floodgates than enforcing our immigration laws.

It’s clear that the Biden administration’s policies are not only detrimental to our national security, but they’re also failing to address the issue of illegal immigration. Joe Edlow’s testimony highlights the fact that deportations under ICE have plummeted under Biden’s tenure, only removing noncitizens at a rate of 3.5% of encounters. Compare that to the 32% removal rate between fiscal year 2017 and 2020 under the Trump administration. It’s obvious that Biden is more interested in pandering to the far-left open borders crowd than actually enforcing our laws.
And it’s not just the American people who are suffering as a result of these reckless policies. The migrants themselves are being left in a state of uncertainty, with no clear path forward. They’re stuck in a limbo, thanks to the actions of the Biden administration. These policies have created instability in our country, affecting national security, public safety, and the economy. It’s a disaster all around.
It’s time for the Biden administration to wake up and start prioritizing the American people and the rule of law. We cannot continue to turn a blind eye to illegal immigration and expect everything to work out fine. We need strong border security, stricter immigration enforcement, and policies that put the interests of American citizens first. It’s time to reverse these disastrous policies and restore order at our border. The American people deserve nothing less.
