Biological Male Runner Crushes Female Competitors in London Marathon Women’s Category

London Marathon has always been a prestigious and competitive event, with thousands of athletes flocking from all over the world to participate. However, this year’s event has been marred by controversy after a biological male runner reportedly crushed countless female competitors in the women’s category. The runner, Glenique Frank, claims to identify as a transgender woman even though social media photos show her as a balding man. And let’s be clear, Frank chose to run in the women’s category, despite having previously run as a man in the New York Marathon.

This latest incident is a perfect example of why the decision by the World Athletics to ban transgender athletes from competing against biological females from 31 March 2023 is a welcome policy. It’s not fair nor is it safe to pit a biological male athlete with typically greater muscle mass, strength and stamina, against biological females. This unfairness was highlighted by former Olympic marathoner Mara Yamauchi, who took to Twitter to express her outrage over Frank’s win in the women’s category; calling it unfair and calling for responsible and fair regulation to prevent these types of incidents from happening in women’s sports.

It’s not just Yamauchi, but the majority of Americans who understand the importance of separating sports by biological sex to ensure fairness and protect biological females who have trained so hard to compete in their respected events. According to a poll conducted by The Washington Post and the University of Maryland, 55 percent of Americans believe in separating sports by biological sex. Another poll published by Pew Research found that 58 percent of Americans favor requirements for transgender athletes to compete on sports teams that align with their biological sex. In fact, Summit Ministries and McLaughlin and Associates conducted a recent poll that showed over 60 percent of Americans believed that the Biden administration’s changes to recent Title IX guidelines allowing transgender individuals to compete with biological females has had a harmful impact on women’s sports.

It’s time for responsible, fair regulation in women’s sports to restore integrity and safety in these events. The tyranny of the minority should not override the safety, protection and hard work of biological females who deserve recognition and respect for their achievements. It’s my hope and prayer that those in responsible positions will take appropriate measures to ensure fairness and justice in all sports events, regardless of political correctness.
